THE MAIN TOURS

Six tours, shortest tees to longest. They follow the pro schedule, mostly on the same course the pros are playing that week. Every one awards Gross and Net season points, and they all count toward your combo handicap.

FORWARD

NO WGR

For players who drive the ball shorter than about 230 yards.

TEES ~4,500-5,500 yds

We want the shorter hitters winning FWD events, not long hitters playing irons off the tee. If you consistently hit over 135 mph, start at WEB, WEB+ or SGT.

Disqualified for 2+ shots over 135 mph in a round, or 10+ shots over 135 mph on any tour in the last six months.

For players who drive the ball shorter than about 250 yards.

We want the shorter hitters winning WEB events. If you're a longer player, start at WEB+ or SGT.

For players who want a shorter course, or who are new to sim golf and still learning it.

HOW WE CALCULATE IT

Cap each hole at double bogey

Your gross score on each hole is adjusted down with Double Bogey ESC (equitable stroke control), so a double bogey is the most any hole can count.

Work out each round's differential

(Adjusted Gross - Difficulty) × 113 ÷ Relative Difficulty

Both difficulty metrics are set by the designer and depend on tee length and how the course is set up.

Keep your lowest differentials

How many count depends on how many rounds you've played.

Average, take 96%, drop the decimals

Average those lowest differentials, multiply by 96%, and truncate the decimals. That's your current tour handicap.

WGR POINTS

Top half pays

Points go to the top half of the gross field, up to 120 places, on TIPS, PRO, SGT, WEB and WEB+.

The field is every starter

Everyone who tees off in round 1 counts, including WDs and DQs. Non-finishers drop off the leaderboard, so finishers move up.

Field strength scales it

Base points are multiplied by field strength. A benchmark field pays the table, a stronger or bigger one pays more, and a weaker or smaller one pays less.

Every starter adds to field strength, and the best players add far more than the rest, so a finish can be worth less than its base points. Separate WGR rankings are kept for standard and auto-putt.
